So far this year, seven air traffic controllers have been found sleeping on the job- five since late March.
Air traffic controllers are not the only workers struggling to stay awake, though. Since twenty percent of the American workforce is comprised of shift workers, many employees are struggling through their overnight shifts.
CNN International reporter Ralitsa Vassileva interviewed Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine & Technology CEO Dr. Russell Rosenberg to discuss overnight shift workers and how to stay awake on the job.
