Sleep Education and the FAA

It all began with a sleeping air traffic controller at the Reagan National Airport at the end of March. The FAA then launched an investigation and soon found a second air traffic controller, this time from Knoxville, napping on the job.

Now, the FAA official responsible for overseeing the nation's air traffic control has stepped down.

Keith Whitney, reporter for 11Alive News in Atlanta, sat down with Atlanta Sleep School CEO Dr. Russell Rosenberg yesterday to discuss what the FAA can learn about shift workers and sleep disorders.
