This 80 hour course (24 hours online at home and 56 hours of live class in Atlanta) is designed for individuals without experience who wish to enter the field of sleep technology. It is also appropriate for the new sleep technologist or allied healthcare professional, who seeks an introduction to or review of sleep medicine and polysomnography. The A-STEP curriculum has been developed by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine as a comprehensive introduction to sleep technology for the novice technologist.

The Online Foundation of Sleep Technology is approved by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) for Pathway #1 & Pathway #4 Candidates for the RPSGT Exam.

The Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine has recently expanded its course offerings with the addition of On-Demand Webinars. These easily accessible webinars provide continuing education credit for RPSGTs. Each webinar lasts about one hour. The continuing education credit is awarded after the entire webinar is viewed and a review quiz is completed.
