Dr. Russell Rosenberg Named Chairman of the National Sleep Foundation

  
  

Atlanta, GA (Vocus/PRWEB) March 31, 2011--- Russell Rosenberg, PhD, has been elected chairman of the National Sleep Foundation. Dr. Rosenberg will begin his one-year term as chairman on July 1. Dr. Rosenberg is a board certified sleep specialist with 26 years of clinical and research experience. He is the Founder and CEO of the Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine and Technology.

As chairman, Dr. Rosenberg will lead the National Sleep Foundation’s board of directors, comprised of physicians, scientists, and business professionals.

Serving on the board of directors since 2005, Dr. Rosenberg is the current vice-chair of the National Sleep Foundation. Dr. Rosenberg also served as the task force chair for the National Sleep Foundation’s 2011 Sleep in America poll released in March.

The National Sleep Foundation is dedicated to improving sleep health and safety through education, public awareness, and advocacy. The National Sleep Foundation is a charitable, educational and scientific not-for-profit organization located in Washington, DC. Its membership includes researchers and clinicians focused on sleep medicine, professionals in the health, medical and science fields, individuals, patients, families affected by drowsy driving and more than 900 healthcare facilities throughout North America. Dr. Rosenberg will be the National Sleep Foundation’s 9th chairman of the board.
